Found this statement on another site... Is it true or false.
ESP does also include Traction Control - which in the Polo brakes the front wheels to reduce wheel spin under power. This is why chipped / modified Polos will go through front brake discs and pads much quicker than you'd expect - the constant fight between engine and traction control induced braking.

Thats a possibility, I don't know how you would ever measure the wear involved.
I'm sure a hard driver in a stock Polo would o through pads more than a "soft" driver in a modified car!

My thoughts on the ESP are that only one of the back brakes were applied & with the traction control cutting engine power when a front wheel spun.
Its just that if one front brake is bought into action with traction control, it changes my theory quite a bit.

definitely the front brakes work as part of the ESP system, seen it in person on the hub dyno!
