Tiguan 147TSI

Been a Vduber for sometime now owned and currently own a VW beetle 68' semi as a hobby.

I have currently been looking at Tiguan 147 which is a replacement for a Subauru Forestor GT 2002 manual. Initial intent was to upgrade to a new Forestor but that fall short on a couple of requirements main is 4speed auto as I would like to purchase and auto this time round.

The Tiguan has pretty much everything Im looking for except for the smaller boot space and space saver. Holding back slightly because I have heard some bad reports on VW service and problems, can any Tiguan owners past and new give me some feedback on their experiences with Tiguan 147. good or bad.

The TSI Tiguans are awesome. Have not heard of many mechanical issues to date from other owners.

The 6spd Tiptronic is smooth and really good. Like the 4Motion system, its been tried and tested for a number of years and don't have any reliability issues I'm aware of. In fact I prefer the tiptronic over the DSGs, whcih seem to be more troublesome.

I started off with a 125TSI purely because the 147TSI does come in a manual (unlike other RDH markets) thanks to the idiots at VWs product planning division .....

Go, for it, get the 147, its a really good car, so good in fact that you'd look at a Golf (GTI) and wonder why you'd bother for the same price ......

Once a dubber always a dubber, finally decided to go with the 147 so the beetle will have some company from the same bloodline.
