    Default Hi, new Member.

Hi everyone, new on here, looked out for a VW forum due to my brother recentely buying a 06 Golf and thought be a good idea to see what issues if any people find with it. Its a great car, so efffortless even compared to my car, a 94 Mazda 626 which is quite peppy little thing itself.
Actually looking at replacing the Mazda later this year, and at the top of my list is the new Polo, don't want to spend no more than 25k so a TSi or maybe Tdi Polo will be great little replacement, be great to compare it to my Brothers Golf. Looking forward to reading everybody's hopefully positive comments on the upcoming Polo.

    Welcome Christopher!

The MKV Golf is a fantastic car (winner of so many awards).

Which engine were you looking at purchasing?

Actually I want to look at the new Polo later this year, probably the TSi version but will compare it to the TDi version to see how it measures up.
My brother has the Golf and loves it.

should be a little ripper - everything I've read has praised it so far!

    Welcome Chris

I'm tempted to buy the 1.2 TSI Polo instead of an Amarok after some reviews I've read; will wait till they're released and might go for a test drive

For a while wanted a Fiat 500 and in away would still love one especially an Abarth, but the lesser versions are a little underpowered, at least until the new Turbo 2cyl versions come out.
So looking at something around 25k, the new Polo will be the best thing on the market going by all reports. Looking foward to the comparo's between the TSi and TDi before deciding which one.

yeah my friend is also looking at one. It's a little hard to pick

TDI is about $2000 dearer, but it uses less fuel and the fuel it uses is cheaper
TSI is probably more expensive to insure, being a petrol turbo

All the press release I've read brags about fuel economy, but nothing on acceleration figures!
    Go APR!!

TSI for city/daily driving (I'm in this catergory).

TDI for country aka long distamce driving.
