Toeing on a Golf GTI 08 model

Hi All,
If anyone could shed some light for me or have had any experiences with this please let me know.
What I want to know is has any one put a toe bar on their Golf GTi and if so has any one toed a aluminium boat that weighs about 750kgs in total with the motor , and or does anyone own a boat who uses there golf to toe it ? Before I spend 680 to put on on i just wanted to check to see if any one has ?

what is the 'ball weight' of the boat/trailer?

From my limited understanding, that is what you also need to know...

I bought a new XT Forester to tow my boat.....

$680 could be a cheaper option... I have seen a few Golf's ,no GTI's, with tow balls.

Jnrdavo is right there will be a limit as to the weight on the tow ball and 750kg will be the limit for any unbraked trailer.

Best look at the VW figures for towing.

I belive the totaly weight it can pull is 1300kg but my other question is since its front wheel drive when i go to the boat ramp i am going to have trouble take it out of the launch arear as its wet and its front wheel drive ?
I guess thats the real question sorry i should have stated that in the first place.

oh yeah, the manual (probably at the back) should also have the towing weights....

I haven't tried putting a boat in the water with a fwd car but I'm sure getting it out will be were traction could pose a problem. Some ramps have good grip others not so good.
Might be tricky.

Hey saw a MK6 GTI with a tow bar today in The Gap.. (white) very nice ( except for the tow bar )..
