I am thinking about buying a Tiguan. I need to tow a horse float occasionally and I was wondering whether anyone had used the Tiguan to tow something big, and whether it went ok. The usual weight I will be towing is about 16ookg but sometimes close to 2000kg.
I think a Transporter or Touareg would be better suited for towing something as large as horse floats.
or if you can wait till late next year VW will have a Hilux competitor called the Amarok

I have been told you can't tow a wake boat with a tiguan, or Audi Q5 - you are better to get a Real 4wd or bigger car, Q7 or BMW x5... more towing capacity and no issues with tow ball... Even a Freelander can tow better I have been advised!!
