3 months and counting

Last week I ordered my new tigga.
Now I have wait 3 months. Its going to be the longest 3 months of my life.
I'm upgrading from an `07 Polo GTI. I will miss this little Gem. The GTI is a wonderful car.

Here is what I ordered:

125 TSI
Black (outside), Black (cloth inside)
Black tinted windows
Auto
Off road pack
Comfort pack
RNS510 with rear view camera
Park assist
Bluetooth (standard)

I found the 147 TSI a little too noisy. Has anyone else found this?
I had a real zinger of a sales guy who told me the extra noise is caused be the Supercharger.

What makes the 147 more powerful? Is it just a different tune?

I'm just waiting for my VIN number so I can track it.

Tigga is getting built this week so I should have a VIN by the end of this week.
What is it? 6 weeks from the moment it gets loaded onto the ship to delivery?
I wonder if they can put an EXPRESS sticker on the car.

Well, I placed my order on 7 April, the car was built on 1 May (3 weeks later), it was on the ship on 16 May (2 weeks later) and got to Brisbane 29 June ( 6 weeks later) and delivered to me 22 July ( 3 weeks later)

So in all 14 weeks from placing the order to delivery = 3.5 months.

Therefore I would suspect delivery in your case to be mid December ......

Same for us, we ordered a new Tig in early June 09, and are hoping it will be delivered to us by late October 09...

Apparently the BiXenon headlights that we wanted (along with the other goodies) meant that it had to be ordered and built in Germany.
