    Default USB Connector for Golf Mk5 - Retrofit

    USB connector for MK5 golf. Anyone know if this can be retro fitted easily?Saw one in the arm rest of the Mk6 GTi the other day and thought it was a brilliant idea.

    Hi, how old is your Golf, and what radio unit is currently in it? As far as I'm aware, they only work with the current RNS510, RCD510, and RCD310.

    The retrofit media unit is fitted in the glovebox. You'll need to specify which cable you'll need as they come separate (ie, USB, miniUSB, iPod). Interestingly, you can't use an iPod with the USB cables, so if you're planning on using an iPod at some point, you'll need to get the iPod-specific cable.
