What is Amarok ?
Amarok is Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles first fully VW developed one tonne pickup family.

What does name Amarok mean ?
Amarok is named after a large Wolf from Inuit folklore and also loosely translate in South American languages to 'he loves stones'.

Where is the Amarok manufactured ?
In Volkswagen's General Pacheco plant in Argentina.

What body variants will be available ?
Intially only the Double Cab variant will be released first with the Single Cab and Cab Chassis variants to follow soon after.

What AWD/4x4 systems will be available ?
Volkswagen through the Press have stated that there will be two versions AWD/4x4 systems.

1) The AWD system similar to VW Groups 4Motion system will be released.
The system is expected to be a On Demand based system.

2) VW will also have a dedicated Permament 4x4 system with Locking Diffs for hardcore Off Roaders.

What about 2WD ?
Rear Wheel Drive in 2WD format.
