hi all, my first post on this site, so please go easy..
i took 4 week leave over xmas/ny overseas and missed my r32 every single day.
got back to take it for a drive and stretch her legs and after i started her up i heard what sounded like an electronic clicking noise that i've never heard before.
it was like the sound you hear when you press the horn (not the horn itself but the electric clicking/contact sound). and it clicks rapidly then stops then a few more and then stops.
it happened again while driving later on that day and now happens seems to happen at least once every trip.
has anyone had this issue or know if it? if all else fails, I will call the dealer and book her in.
It would be best to book it in with your VW dealer.
Give them the best possible description of the fault that you can, and if possible, show them when and where it is doing it.
The more information you arm them with, the sooner it will be fixed![]()
for sure, will prob do that next week, thanks for your reply.

Sounds like low voltage, your battery may have dropped a cell.

Was the heater on on a cold day? My mk5 dash clicks when it's warming up.
