I've yet to install one of these in an RCD510-equipped '09 Passat. I've been on leave for the past two weeks, although when I popped in the other day, our accessory fitter was installing one in an R36 wagon. Unfortunately, I didn't stick around for him to test it out.

As soon as I do, I'll see what it's capable of, and post up the results.

    Umai Naa!

Thank you for this the unit could be also a CK-300 similar to the CK-100 can you have a look at the unit and see if there is any reference to this on the casing.

I'm under the impression there's a couple of different versions of the kit that VW uses.

We installed one in a Golf a couple of weeks back that wouldn't interface with the radio unit (Ie, they could hear you, but you couldn't hear them). The correct kit was ordered, and it worked.

This may be a similar story with yours. Leave it with me, and I'll see what I can come up with.

Ok, any part numbers you obtain through Nokia, wont be at all relevent through VW.

What I believe you have is a standard VW/Nokia Bluetooth unit. The Premuim unit isn't available just yet. It's not far off, as they are finalising the way it's being marketed due to a few technical limitations that were discovered just recently. With the Premium kit, you are able to use the virtual keypad on the RNS510 and RCD510 radio units. However, your phone must have rSAP (remote SIM Access Profile) capability, or it wont pair.

I'm not 100% sure which phones have rSAP, besides the Nokia N and E series, and a few HTC phones.

The Premium Bluetooth kits retail for $495 + fitting.

    Hi Umai Naa!!
Great info let me know once the other unit is available. There are many down loadable apps on the net that SmartPhones can use to get rSAP working. It is not that special a feature.

    Hope this helps
