FS: 1999 Gen 4 Golf GLE 20V

This car is the 1.8 lt 20 valve with power windows all round, electric mirrors, cruise control and nice mags. It also has an Ipod connector to the Alpine head unit and chrome mirror cases (not the stick on covers) and alloy tacho/speedo rings. I'm pretty particular about how the car is maintained and the following has been done in the last 2 years:
- All log book servicing has been carried out by a local VW specialist
- Cam belt and idler pulley replaced at 90,000km
- Shocks have been replaced with new Bilstein twin tube units about 8-10000 km ago.
- Air conditioning compressor has been replaced with a reconditioned unit and the system regassed (Aug 07)
- Front driver and passenger electric window regulators have been replaced (this is a common failure with Gen 4 Golfs with electric windows)
- Front disc brake rotors and pads have been replaced in the last 5000km or so
- V rated tyres on 17" genuine VW mags

The good:
This car is economical, safe (ABS and 2 x airbags) and it has all the fruit (ABS, electric windows all round, cruise control and a good stereo) to make it an enjoyable drive. It has rego to Sep 09

The Bad:
I have cracked the cover to the gauges and broken one of the retractable ropes to the back shelf. Recently, I picked up a stone chip in the windscreen. It's only small (2-3mm) but right smack bang in front of the driver.

I'm looking for $8500 ono (the 'n' in ono stands for near).

how many kilometres on the car? where it is located? is it manual or automatic?

do you know the replaced cost of the windscreen?

do all the gauges still work?

Current kms 146200, windscreen about $300, all of the gauges work, I was a bit ham fisted when i put the tacho rings in. Price now $8250 to help with the repairs.
