Bora 4Motion vs 4Motion Sport ?

Hi,

First post, I am looking into buying a bora V6 4motion some time over the next few months. I have noticed some of the boras listed say they are 4motion sports.

Now, how do i tell the difference? I have read that they have no woodgrain and embossed seats and 17inch wheels and a spoiler.

Does the fact they have 17's mean they are a sport?

Can you guys help me.

The "Sport" came fitted with a factory "Votex" body kit, and 17" wheels - apart from that, we believe they were the same!

So, it may have 17's but if it does not have a body kit then it is not a true sport.

I think so - I thionk the non sport had the chrome bits as well (grill)

The Bora SPORT as I understand it was a Limited Edition VW Aust. HQ/Dealer fitted bodykit.

The Bora SPORT came 1st in only V6 4Motion guise then was optioned with the V5.

SPORT Package comprised of
-Evolo 17x7" Alloys.
-Michelin 225/45 R17 Pilot Sport tyres.
-Oettinger grille, side/rear/front skirts, lower front mesh inserts and boot Spoiler
-SPORT badging

Late in the Bora's Model life tha package (minus Evolo alloys) became an optional extra on any model Bora.

Firstly i wanna say hi to everyone. Im only recently new to this site. Been a member of vwwatercooled for a couple years now.

I own a 4motion sport and yes your right phaeton. I also think the sport came with the solid headrests inside and not the big round ones.

Hi all,
I'm new here, after owning a V6 4 motion sport since new i thought i should get in on the action!
Ty, the 4 motion sport has all the above you mentioned , mine has the ottinger grill and skirts etc...
You will be very happy if you pick one up in good nick!
Ive had mine since new (my2002), only issue ive had was the fuel ratio meter?
Excellent car, quickish sprts luxury.
This replaced the WRX i had stollen!

The headrest design changed due to a mid-life update to the model (the 2001.5 update) - later cars have the solid headrests, earlier ones have the big "hoops".

My 2003 Bora V6 4Motion isn't a sport, and it has the solid headrests.
