mkv headunit in mkiv

just looking to upgrade from my current headunit, as it barely plays burnt cds.

i dont want to get anything flash, that will stick out, as the car is pretty stocko.

will a rcd300 stock cd player double din, fit in my mkiv.

what will the deal be with wiring?

I think the biggest problem you will have is the shape - even though they are double din, they have the well rounded profile on the front. All MKV's run on the Canbus communications as well (yours is K line) - it will probably be best to get an aftermarket head unit in this case!

Like Guy said, the shape will be the biggest problem. You may be able to get a Touareg unit in there (and it has been done before), but after mucking around trimming your console, it will be much easier to get a good quality aftermarket unit and get better sound at the same time!
