Thread: Tyre Choices

    Default Tyre Choices

I'm getting close to needing some new shoes for my MkV Gti and I've been very happy with the original Continental's until "Harding Performance" plugged the laptop in and increased the wear hehe. No jokes, new ContiSportContact2 225/45 R17 are $465 each, has anyone else seen a better price or can suggest a quality replacement... I know you get what you pay for but they're only 17's.

I had Hankook S1 Evos on my S3 and loved them...Quiet, they hang on and are good in the wet as well...

Can't coment on longevity though as I sold it for the GT....which will hopefully turn up one day

I got the Pirelli P-Zero Neros on the R.
As I upgraded from Nankangs the difference between the two is huge. However, I've seen very little complaints about them when I was looking at tyre choices.

The current recommendations seem to be Yokohama Advan v103's, or Bridestone Adrenaline RE001's, or stick with the Conti's.

    Hoyhoy.
Me been looking at these two just to be different of course.
P.S. I would love for someone to shoot me down on these, so as to get them out of me head.

Eddy, dont do it - take it from me- stick with the better known brands.

Theres only four little bits of rubber that ultimately hold you to the ground.
