Scotland's Passat 1.8T 60th Anniversary Edition 1998

I have just recently bought this 1998 vw passat 60th anniversary 1.8t and I have some questions I thought someone might help me with. (1)Is it not good to have the climatic air conditioning turned off and if so why. (2) When the ignition is turned off the rear window demister is still on surely this is not right. (3) Just wondering if anyone has encountered problems with the factory fitted sunroof opening and closing intermitently on its own. If so what was the problem.

Congrats on the purchase , the 60th Anniversary model must be a rare spec in Australia but engine and drivetrain isn't

(1) I can guess the answer would be like most air cons, use of them in cold and hot weather is a must but having it on all the time is a preference and unless the owners manual says otherwise switch it off when you like it.

(2) Maybe a fuse problem ?
