    Default Turbo Bora

Has anyone seen a turbo Bora in Australia?

there's one going around Brisbane, in united grey. I saw it once in Melbourne but I'm sure it's the same car - it has some FMIC. Those turbo Boras go ok, i've driven this one:

this one was useless in the first 3 gears :****:

Geez that's a good looking car. Can't say I'm a fan of the chromed mirrors though. Don't suit the colour very well. When you say turbo, what engine are we talking about?

Turbo Boras weren't sold in Australia, so if there's any factory ones around, they'll be imports.

It is of course possible to add an aftermarket turbo (or supercharger for that matter) kit to a Bora...

This car is certainly still around in Brisbane
It's a grey bora (haven't seen another grey in Aus either), definintely has a front mount and it's most likely a 1.8T
    Go APR!!

Could also be a 1.9TDI Bora, they have them in NZ. But as Manaz said, they weren't sold here.

saw it drive past in Alderley the other day
it has an upgraded exhaust on it, doesn't sound like a TDI

it's united grey, a colour that's not sold in AUS

Unless it's been resprayed in a different colour, it must be a private import then (owner would have had to been overseas for a few years and brought it back as their personal vehicle) - it's practically the only way to bring in a car that was sold here (ie Bora - engine types don't count for uniqueness), though it does mean you're not restricted by the SEVS 15 year rule!
