Default 2007 Golf, Panel Repair Help.

Whilst parked in a shopping centre, an idiot (looks like a 4WD) rammed my front left panel on the 2007 golf fsi 2.0.
Any suggestions on how to repair this? It's pretty serious, but If I can repair it a little so it doesn't look so bad in the meantime, any help is greatly appreciated. Replacing the panel looks like it'll be expensive.

yeah, doesn't look like a quick fix, but it may be able to be pushed out, patched etc.... Then again, sometimes a new panel is cheaper...

    Who are you insured with?

Yeah I'm looking at the options. I found a new panel for 170$ but it's aftermarket...so I'm skeptical for re-sell purposes.
Insurance is RACV, but I'm a red P Plater, so even though I had nothing to do with the accident, my excess will be huge

    Hoyhoy.

I know how ya feel bud, it happened to the wifes car a couple of months ago when I was using it, parked all on its own well away from other vehicles with about the same amount of damage...
