    hi guys

    this is my first time on this forum greetings from ireland
    i am a memeber of a vw clup here in ireland called eircooled

    i have seen a lot of pics with " aussie trim " on beetles
    i have tried every site to see if i could get a set for my 1972 beetle

    would love to get some help on this

    Welcome Tony,

    If it's the trim on the sides - we used to call it the "Flash" trim, it was made in AUS, but only for the "wide molding" cars, like pre 68' models. It matched the size / shape of the existing belt line but used local clips etc. It was stainless steel. Someone has reproduced it - might be worth looking on www.aussieveedubbers.com

    thought I might post that pic of my 1963 VeeDub.... show you what the flash looks like. The actual flash was anodised aluminium but the trim was stainless.
