    Default Do Performance Tuning Chips Really Work???

    On eBay there are several tuning chips for the Caddy from Europe and USA, just wondering if they are worth buying than the ones made in australia which retail for over a grand.

    Like most things, you pay for what you get...

    No after market support from overseas normally (if they do, it's hard for them to do anything!)

    Also most good brand local chips are tuned for our ECU's, conditions and petrol, where the ones you buy from overseas are 'generic'...

    I've recently downloaded a remap from a tuning company called BSR tuning. Results were quick and easy, this cost me $1010. They claim power to increase to nearly 100kw with a intake or new filter, torque is also a big improvement with a gain of 66Nm. I have the 1.9tdi so other versions may vary etc. It's a Swedish company but do have a branch based in NSW. Go to bsrtuning.com.au and contact them for more info if your interested.
