    Default Rear Spare Wheel Carrier

I am thinking of moving my spare wheel so I can use the space for a grey water tank. The T4 Transporter I had did have a swinging spare wheel carrier mounted on the drivers side which was swung out when opening the back door. Does anyone know of anything similar for the Caddy Maxi?

From what I have researched, I don't think anyone has done that yet.

If it was me, I would be approaching a fabricator to get one made - maybe even modifying one from an existing carrier (from a wreckers)

Good idea on keeping the centre of gravity low though.

I was also thinking of getting a rear protector like Telstra have and getting a spare wheel carrier fitted on that. I would be set low (as you said) and swivel out of the way when the door had to open like some of the 4WDs have!

    Default rear spare wheel carrier

I found a T4 transporter rear wheel carrier which goes onto the tow bar. Maybe I can buy that and have it adjusted to fit.... $250....
since posting this I have found out that a towbar cannot be changed in any way...so that ruins that idea....
