Thread: Updates on our Dual cab

  1. #1

Default Updates on our Dual cab

Been a while, thought I would post a couple of pics:

    New springs, 100mm higher.

Custom Canopy - full lockup, LED interior lighting, Engel slide, rod racks.

Water tank & hand cleaner, matching storage container on other side.

Recaro seats (with arm rests & seat covers).

RNS510 nav unit (Touareg unit), "Ambulance" console with flip out screen & reverse camera.

    Uprated towbar (230kg ball weight).

Well kitted out for those longer motorsport weekends

Hey Guy, looking great. So you raised a car for the first time huh? Now you can go find your T5 offroader mate from Townsville!
The canopy looks good, is it aluminium? looks like you've been busy... I'd like to see the whole rear of the truck in black as well. Perhaps it's time to complete the offroad theme and get some Touareg wheels?

Hey Alex, yeah, we needed some extra load capacity in the rear for our new car trailer & all the gear. Funnily enough it rides actually better than stock - still compliant but less roll. Steve built it for us - took 8 months but its exactly what we need - hand finished alloy.

if I painted the thing, it would be more to wash - it would be much easier to remove the black paint off the rest of the car to be honest.

I half like the idea of some bigger wheels & offroading now - I am banned from high car parks, so why not go higher!

Yeah, it's a great ride now, and perfect for camping/fishing trips :-)

Just need to learn how to drive on sand so it doesn't get bogged
