seeking advice on a rear wheel drive gearbox and bell housing for a Golf engine
Hello, this is my first post.
I have a 1954 Morgan Plus 4 with a Tr2 engine (100HP) and I am thinking of replacing it with a Golf engine to gain 50% plus more power, dramatically better fuel consumption and a much lighter engine.
(70 year later technology, as I use this car daily to drive to work)
Can anyone advise me on where to source parts etc.
I live in Perth, Western Australia.
Kind regards and best wishes

Hi John,
You will have to source a rear wheel drive platform from somewhere else - obviously the golfs have been front drivers since inception.
John Sherman might be worth a call. The swap of a golf engine into rear engined VW's has been around for decades.

Good luck!
