My Boss hates Kombis (new ones) he calls them Zombies :D except the Porsche powered variants which he does not mind.

You see he loves speed on the freeway/highway ;)

Here are some pics of my brothers completed restoration of his 66 splitty.

Bodywork and paint was done by previous owner, the rest, including the new engine, was done by him.

It all works pretty well. Just the occasional drop out of reception here and there, and also in bad weather (not that there is much of that in Brisbane)

Saw a splitty for sale down between Warwick and Queen Mary Falls back in May/June. Didn't look in too bad knick either. Think they wanted about $6,500.
