No avatars?

Why no avatars? I like avatars as it makes it quick and easy to recognise who has posted. I'm terrible at names, but pictures stick in my head. Are their any plans for this? :eek:

How do I create a custom avatar? Don't see any option to upload from my pc like I can on VWWatercooled.
Am I correct in saying that we can either choose none or from the smilies and stuff provided?

at the top right of the screen, click on settings. This should open up your 'User Control Panel'.

Now on the left hand side of the screen, you should have options to change your profile settings. One of these is avatar, where you should be able to upload a custom one :-)

Thanks jnrdavo but I don't know what I'm missing.
I know I should have the option but I don't.. thats my point.

I've gone into "settings", then "edit avatar" and all I get is the option to have none or to select the smilie stuff.
Where do I get to select to upload?

I can do the profile pic but not my avatar.
