Howdy Jetta Guru's

I was considering purchasing some aftermarket headlights from Mars Performance for my 07 Jetta. It's so hard to find aftermarket headlights for the mk V, the mark IV (Bora) has heaps, no love for mk v owners :icon_mad:

What I need to know is 2 things -

1. How easy are they to install? - i.e. do i have to remove the bumper?
2. Will the headlight dipping feature still work with the aftermarket product?

I'll probably go the Bi-Xenon option to anger the other motorists (who already anger me with their bi-xenons)

Any info would be appreciated.

Preest.

Hi Preest,

1: Make sure they are compatible with RHD (most have a lever for switching them over) - advert say OK.

You have to pull the front bumper off, so a few hours involved there.

Technically Xenons need the washers fitted to be legal, but not a lot of people care about that.

good luck!

P.S. If you purchase some, I'll get you the full instructions.

Hi AVG,

Thanks for getting back to me regarding this.

I'll probably have a look at them today and I'll inform you if I purchase the lights. Xenon might be a bad option then. I might get the extra white halogen instead. I just hope these lights will brighten my night driving as I can see now, but I'd like to see better :) Plus, LED position lights are always cool :)
