VGA are bringing the Tiguan launch forward to April/May instead of October as originally expected.
Also good news for the offroader fanatics the Track & Field is confirmed for Australia :D
(You guys at VGA are smart cookies offering T&F as well as the road versions ;))

I got a VGA Info sheet / brochure at the Bris Motor show and it refers to the models as 125TSI, 103TDI & 147TSI. The specs don't make any reference to the 18deg or 28deg (or Sport & Style, Track & Field, etc) front ends although the picture shows the 18deg front end with fog lights (which are listed as standard on the 147TSI model).
The availability shows as 2nd quarter for diesel & 3rd quarter for the petrols although it seems like the petrols will be later from other posters info.

has anybody seen any of these yet?
I may be interested in one. What's the internal space like?
We are looking at a Ford Territory (don't shoot us!).... Turbo Ghia or FPV model... It has heaps of space and drives quite well for a big car... Yeah, ok, finish is nothing like the euros, but it's a cheaper option relatively...
Stu I overheard this conversation and did NOT expect it to be you. Shame on you!

Its in dealers nationwide now :D (saw 3 of them at my local dealer).
Whether its suits your needs is another story boot space is not class leading if you have a big family.

yeah, I know, its a sad day, but then again, it's for the missus..
We are trying to find a big enough car to go on camping holidays with, and one that can take a 40 kilo dog! Not sure if the tiguan is going to suit.... Touregs are too expensive, the territory is cheap, is turbo, is huge (seven seats that really work!)...... only problem is that it's a ford! (I'm a holden man!)

Is the Caddy Max Life actually coming to Oz?
After the bitter dissapointment of the Tiguan's bootspace, which meant we will not be buying one .... ever ..... my wife got keen on the Caravelle (128kw TDI 4-Motion). I initially thought it's a bit pricey but might be a good buy next year.
BUT, a TDI Caddy Max Life might be the go as well.....
Why? .... With 3 kids I could do with space for other passengers as well.....

Yes, 3rd quarter have a speak to your local Commercial VW Dealer
Expect 2-3K more over the Caddy Life equivalent.
The Maxi Life interestingly enough is bigger than the Sharan and Touran but priced more closely to the Touran :D
