View Full Version : Just another noobie....
Hey Guys,
Just thought I'd introduce myself....
Name is Scott and I live in Sydney and work in IT.....
Just picked up a 2004 Golf IV 2.0....bog stock standard...in fairly good condition....
At the moment just reading up on what I can do performance and styling wise before I start spending some $$$ or even €€€....
Having just come back from Europe after spending 2 years working over there, I decided I would have to buy something Euro when back in Oz...
So please be gentle.....ha ha
Cheers,
Scott

Welcome.
+1 for pictures.
I've always liked the subtle look. But then again the Oettinger range is pretty nice. Then you get some 19" BBS's and lower it a bit and there you go, sex on wheels. If you can source them at a reasonable price, the Konig interior from the R32s swap right in. Then again there's plenty of cosmetic mods you can do from lots of different manufacturers.
Simplest and cheapest mod is probably to swap the rear wiper with the aero wiper from a MkV. You'll need to sand it down a bit so it clips back into place. Looks a lot cleaner.
Anyway welcome once again and feel free to ask any questions and one of us will try our best to answer them (most probably Guy).

Well, here t'is, on a rainy day in Sydney midweek.
Mods now include:
Removed bonnet protector.....
Prev owner also chucked in his 12 inch sub and amp, just because I was such a nice guy to deal with....
More to come soon... :)
Prev. owner had it detailed once a week, so it is pretty well flawless paintwise, no scratches etc.
