Hey guys

got a 96 transporter and had to replace the alternator.

auto electrician gave me a 120A alternator (90A) is stock.

the pulled on the 120 is too small and wont charge on idle but apparently can replace the pully/fan to bring it back to normal circumference.

i was hoping if someone knew if there are OTHER alternators from VW's that can be used as well......Golf or something? then i can get an old second hand one and get the pulley off that.

any info will be great

thanks all!

From memory (it was a while ago) if your T4 is a 4 cylinder version then the 4 cylinder VW (golf etc) ones were similar.

Good luck!
